Justin Thomas Greets Rory McIlroy at Kapalua
Justin Thomas shakes hands with Rory McIlroy during practice at Kapalua, in advance of the 2019 Sentry Tournament of Champions. Despite qualifying for the season-kickoff six times previously, this will mark McIlroy’s first career start in Maui.
Thomas, on the other hand, has made the trek to the Hawaiian islands each time he’s qualified – four straight seasons now. He calls it his favorite event. He won here in 2017.
Of note: Thomas is not sporting his usual Ralph Lauren Polo logo. Instead he’s got the Ralph Lauren RLX (golf) brand plastered on his shirt. Billy Horschel, the other high-profile Ralph Lauren tour pro, has been promoting this line for the past couple of years.
