Steve Stricker shot a final-round 67 to claim a one-stroke victory over Robert Karlsson and Alex Cejka at the 2021 CHUBB Classic.

Entering the finale at Tiburon’s Black Course just one off the lead, Stricker made five birdies en route to a bogey-free round of 5-under par to claim his sixth Champions Tour title.

“I could have made it a little easier on myself for sure. No, I knew exactly where I was,” said Stricker, who led the field in greens in regulation, hitting 47 of 54 (87%).

“I told Nicki (wife) when we were going down 14, I said, let’s get two out of these next three, and I hit it in there at 14 and 15 and missed them both and hit it in there at 16, but if I could have made a couple more putts, it would have been a little bit easier.

“But it’s tough to win. It’s tough to win anywhere, and I’m happy to get it done.”

Karlsson (69) and Cejka (68) tied for second on 15-under 201, one clear of Tim Petrovic (65) and Kevin Sutherland (66).
