Jordan Spieth got off to a sizzling start on moving day at Royal St George’s, but struggled late and will enter Sunday’s finale of The 149th Open Championship with a three-shot deficit.

The 2017 Open Champion mixed one bogey with five birdies to secure a share of the lead on 12 under after 10 holes. But Spieth finished his final eight holes without a single red number while dropping three shots, including two killer bogeys on 17 and 18 to fall back to 9-under par.

The bogey on the final hole, particularly, was an absolute gut punch as the Texan missed a two-footer for par.
