This week at the Travelers Championship, Titleist will unveil it next generation T-Series irons and U-Series utility iron.
Following a laborious two-year development process, the new Titleist T100, T100•S and U•505 utility iron models are now available for Titleist Tour members to put into play in PGA Tour events with the first opportunity coming this week at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.
The new T200 irons are expected to join the family on tour in the coming weeks.
Based on preliminary testing and feedback from Tour players, the new iron lineup is poised to continue Titleist’s run as the “most played iron on the PGA Tour” for each of the last seven years and 16 of the last 17 seasons.
Titleist has captured the iron count at every PGA Tour event this season, averaging more than 28 percent of all iron sets in play each week.
The T100 irons are the most played single model with more than 10 percent of all sets in play this season.
Gathering guidance from the game’s best players through every stage of the R&D process, and then earning their endorsement under the pressure of competition over the coming weeks and months across the worldwide professional tours, are critical elements in the development of all high-performance Titleist golf equipment.
Titleist Golf Club R&D representatives will be on site to work with players as they test the new products, determine the model that best fits their game, and gather additional feedback.
