In a thrilling final round at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, South Korea’s Tom Kim delivered a masterful, bogey-free 6-under 64 to claim the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open title at 17-under par, finishing two shots ahead of runner-up Min Woo Lee.
The 24-year-old, who entered the week with recent strong form including a solo third at the U.S. Open, surged from contention into the lead with precise iron play and clutch putting. Kim birdied three times on the front nine to position himself, then added three more on the back, including a key birdie on the 16th, to build an insurmountable cushion. He sealed the victory with a par on the 18th.
The win marked Kim’s fourth PGA Tour title overall and his first since late 2023, ending a 1,001-day winless streak. The South Korean was visibly emotional afterward, telling reporters he was “at a loss for words” and calling the win in golf’s homeland “really special.” He joins elite company as one of the few non-Americans with four or more PGA Tour victories before age 25.

Min Woo Lee (67) finished strong at 15-under for solo second. Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre (69) and England’s Matt Fitzpatrick (69) were among four who tied for third at 13-under.
Rory McIlroy rebounded from a third-round 73 with a final-round 64 to tie for seventh at 12-under, alongside Michael Thorbjornsen (69).
Defending champion Chris Gotterup struggled to a 71 to drop to T11.
The victory propels Kim up 33 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings (66 to 33) as well as the FedEx Cup standings (to 32nd), giving him clear momentum heading into The Open Championship this week. It also highlights his ability to win on (sort of) links-style courses.
