Tony Finau and Patrick Reed were among a handful of PGA Tour players added to the field for the Asian Tour’s Saudi International event, which will be contested Feb. 3-6, opposite the tour’s Pebble Beach stop.
Finau and Reed will join tour stars such as Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Abraham Ancer, Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, and Xander Schauffele, among others, making it the strongest field ever on the Asian Tour.
The PGA Tour will require its members who tee it up in Saudia Arabia to add the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to their future schedules.
Tournament officials also announced that the event will be title sponsored by the Public Investment Fund (P.I.F.) of Saudi Arabia, adding to rumors that the P.I.F. will back a rival super series.
The P.I.F. is bankrolling LIV Golf Investments, the super league headed by Greg Norman.
