An evening mowing session caught on film shows 24 groundskeepers, all on their own mower, cutting the grass on the 18th fairway at Congressional Country Club as they prepare for this weekend’s Quicken Loans National tournament.
According to Reddit user grassfarmer_pro:
I’m volunteering at Congressional for the week and will be working with the maintenance crew in the mornings and evenings. There were 24 of us on Toro Greensmaster triplex mowers, mowing the entire fairway in one single cut. We finished the entire course in a little over an hour and a half. We also passed Kyle Stanley and Jhonattan Vegas while they were out practicing.
This is a great look behind the scenes into the job of a groundskeeper and just how hard they work to get golf courses ready for PGA tournaments. These are the guys that make the course look and feel impeccable in person, and beautiful on TV.
