In the third round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Jordan Spieth’s second shot on the par-4 8th hole nearly went out of bounds, but hung up on the edge of a 68-foot cliff.
Fans and media debated whether Spieth should take a drop and not basically risk death. The 28-year-old, though, took a hack at it and ended up saving par.
“Guys, this is a scary shot normally, but this is downright terrifying,” said CBS’ Colt Knost. “Yeah it’s scary.”
It was pure Spieth.
