Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama shot a final-round 73 on Sunday at iconic Augusta National Golf Club to claim his first major golf championship with a score of 10 under par.

With the victory at The Masters, Matsuyama becomes the first Japanese golfer to win a men’s major golf championship, and the first Asian born player to win a Green Jacket.

The 29-year old Matsuyama – already a mega star in Japan – will no doubt go to another level in terms of superstardom, but it was his countryman and caddie, Shota Hayafuji, who was all the buzz on social media after CBS cameras picked up his classy and respectful bow at the conclusion of the golf tournament.

Golf fans on Instagram were loving it.
