On Sunday at Augusta National, Hideki Matsuyama produced a final-round 73 to claim a one-shot victory at the 2021 Masters Tournament.
Matsuyama’s final day at the iconic golf track included four birdies against five bogeys (one meaningless) en route to a four-day total of 10-under par, one clear of runner-up Will Zalatoris (70).
The win was the 29-year old Japanese star’s sixth career PGA Tour title, and first major. He also became the first Japanese player to win a major, and the first Asian born golfer to win the Masters.
Matsuyama accomplished all this history playing a bag of (mainly) Srixon/Cleveland gear, including a Srixon ZX5 driver and Srixon Z-Star XV golf ball.
