On Friday, Rickie Fowler shot a 68 at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course to reach 8-under par, good for T2 through 36 holes of the Valero Texas Open.

On the day, Fowler offset three bogeys with five birdies, but his round was highlighted by an eagle-2 on the par-4 5th hole.

The 30-year old star drove his Taylormade golf ball to within 5 feet of the pin on the 342-yard hole, and then drained the putt for eagle.

At 8 under, Fowler is among five players tied for second-place – four shots behind 36-hole leader Si Woo Kim. For Saturday’s third round, he will be paired with Brian Stuard (-7) and Josh Teater (-7). The trio will tee off in the third to last grouping at 12:05 pm (est).
