Watch: Spieth’s Hole-Out Eagle to Grab Clubhouse Lead at Valero Texas Open

0

Jordan Spieth has struggled for the entire 2019 season, but the three-time major winner may be coming out of his funk, and just in time for next week’s Masters Tournament – the season’s first major.

After two rounds of the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course, Spieth is tied for the clubhouse lead on 8-under par.

The 25-year old Texan offset three bogeys with five birdies, and a hole-out eagle on the par-5 8th hole (his 17th of the day), en route to a second-straight round of 68.

(Spieth played in the morning group, and as of this post half the field was still on the course, so his co-lead likely will not hold. In fact, Rickie Fowler was 7-under par with nine holes to play.)

Watch Jordan Spieth hole out for eagle-3 to reach 8-under par!
