Former Dallas QB Tony Romo is playing in this week’s AT&T Byron Nelson on a sponsor’s exemption (he is a spokesperson for AT&T).
On the par-5 7th hole, the exemption investment essentially pays off for the Dallas tournament marketers as the CBS NFL analyst chips in for eagle which guarantees greater exposure for the event’s sponsor.
Unfortunately, Romo would lose both strokes two holes later when he double bogeyed the par-4 9th hole.
As of this post QB-9 was even-par through 12 holes (1 eagle, 1 birdie, 8 pars, 1 bogey, 1 double bogey).
Developing. To be updated at conclusion of round.
