Tony Romo, the ex Dallas Cowboys QB and current No. 1 NFL analyst for CBS Sports, is being lauded for his TV work, but he’s also a really, really good (amateur) golfer. And he proved it during the second round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Playing the short par-4 15th hole (395 yards) at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Romo’s tee shot landed on a spectator’s patio.
Instead of taking a drop, though, Romo decided to hit off the deck, and it worked out a lot better than the L.A. Rams offensive game plan. Romo hit a perfect soft wedge off the patio carpet, and checked his golf ball right up next to the cup, leading to a tap-in birdie.
