After a third-round 67, Troy Merritt shares the lead after 54 holes of play at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
The Boise State product’s ride to the the top of the leaderboard was boosted by a terrific hole-in-one on the par-3 11th hole.
Merritt used a 5-iron from 218 yards and one hopped it into the cup for an eagle-1.
It was his first ace on the PGA Tour.
“I made one four, five years ago at home with some buddies,” said Merritt.
