On Sunday, Francesco Molinari relied on a new bag of Callaway gear, including a red-hot Toulon putter, to win the 2019 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Molinari finished his final day at the Bay Hill Club with 10 pars and eight birdies, highlighted by a long-bomb birdie on the 18th for insurance.
Remarkably, it was the 36-year old Italian’s first time out playing his new bag of Callaway equipment.
“You know, it was the first week as a Callaway player, so happy to see that the switch I made wasn’t that crazy as some people thought. I know the clubs are good for me and I started this week — it’s crazy to do it here, to get it done here, at Arnie’s place,” said Molinari after winning his third career PGA Tour title.
This week’s What’s in the Bag is powered by Callaway Chrome Soft Golf Balls, the brand Francesco Molinari trusted to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
