On Sunday at Sedgefield Country Club, J.T. Poston fired a low-round 62 to claim a one-stroke victory over Webb Simpson at the Wyndham Championship.
It was the first career victory for the 26-year old Western Carolina product, who became the fifth native North Carolinian to win the event, joining Raymond Floyd (1979), Davis Love III (1992, 2006, 2015), Scott Hoch (2001), and Webb Simpson (2011).
Poston also became the first player since Lee Trevino (1974 Zurich Clasic) to win a PGA Tour event with four rounds of bogey-free golf, and he accomplished this historic feat with a full bag of Titleist equipment.
