Abraham Ancer posted a final-round 68 on Sunday at TPC Southwind and then outlasted Hideki Matsuyama and Sam Burns in a two-hole playoff to claim victory at the 2021 WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational.
For his maiden PGA Tour win, Ancer earned $1,820,000 and 550 points, which moved him to No. 6 in the FedExCup standings and No. 9 on the tour’s money list.
Ancer also scored 74 Official World Golf Rankings points to move to No. 10 – his best career position.
Runners-up Matsuyama and Burns each took home a check for $917,500 along with 258 FedExCup points, and 37 OWGR points.
