On Friday at Black Desert Resort, Stephan Jaeger produced an 8-under 63 and will enter the weekend with a one-shot lead over Adam Svensson (69) and Ben Kohles at the Black Desert Championship.
Jaeger finished his second day in the southwestern tip of Utah with just one bogey against nine birdies, highlighted by three straight birdies to start (Nos. 1-3) and then five gains over his final seven holes, which included back-to-back chip-ins on 15 and 16, en route to a 14-under par halftime score.
“The two chip-ins on the back kind of made this round from being good to great, so super happy with it,” said Jaeger. “Game feels nice.”
Svensson, the overnight leader, shot a 2-under 69 on Friday to sit joint-second, alongside Ben Kohles (64), at 13 under.

“Yeah, it was good. A little shaky off the first couple holes,” said Svensson. “But still hit the ball well.
“You know, the putter really let me down today. Wasn’t working very good.
“But, you know, do a little practice and see if I can find something.”
Harris English (64) was among a foursome one further back on 12 under, which also includes Sam Ryder (66), Henrik Norlander (68) and Matt McCarty (68).
