Haotong Li secured victory at the Qatar Masters with a birdie putt from 15 feet on the last hole, clinching his fourth career European tour title.
It was an emotional win for Li (69), who had dropped to No. 300 in the world rankings amid a lengthy slump. After the birdie attempt dropped, Li roared, pumped both fists and fell into the arms of his caddie on the 18th green at Doha Golf Club.
It marked the first victory for the China native since June 2022 at the BMW International Open.

“I never thought I could come back in this position,” said Li, who at one time was ranked No. 32 in the world. “This morning, I was really stressed.”
Li finished on 16-under par, one shot clear of Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (65).
The Qatar Masters completes a run of four events in the Middle East. The tour heads to Kenya in two weeks, Feb. 20-23.
