Derek Fathauer Gets Robbed of Ace at Shriners Open

Derek Fathauer, one of our sleeper picks this week, has had a nice start to his 2016-17 PGA Tour season – finishing T15 at the Safeway and T3 at the CIMB.

But he caught a bit of a bad break during round one of the Shriners Open.

On the par-3 8th hole at TPC Summerlin, Fathauer’s ball landed softly, and seemingly perfect, but nipped the flagstick and bounced away.

Highway robbery. ?

As of this post, Fathauer is at 2-under through nine holes – 2 birdies, 1 bogey and 6 pars.
