Justin Thomas made two bogeys down the stretch (Nos. 16 and 18) – blowing a two-shot lead, but reset himself and defeated Presidents Cup teammates Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele in a playoff to secure his 12th PGA Tour title.
For the win, Thomas earned $1,340,000 and 500 FedExCup points. He also secured the 48 first-place OWGR points to cement himself at No. 4 in the the world rankings – just a tenth of a decimal point behind No. 3 Jon Rahm.
Runners-up Schauffele and Reed, meanwhile, each earned $636,000 and 245 FedExCup points. They also raked in 24 OWGR points, and will each move up a spot in the world rankings (Schauffele from No. 9 to 8th, and Reed from 12th to No. 11).
