Hurley III no longer needs to write letters to tournament directors begging for an exemption, as he’s fully exempt on the PGA Tour all the way through the 2017-2018 season. It also gets him a spot in the 2016 (British) Open Championship and PGA Championship this summer, as well as the following big 2017 events: The Masters, The Players, The Tournament of Champions, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and The Memorial. It’s a life changer for the married father of three young children.
