United States Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley finalized his leadership team on Wednesday, naming Gary Woodland as the fifth and final vice captain for the 45th Ryder Cup, set for September 23-28 at Bethpage Black.

The 41-year-old, 2019 U.S. Open champion, joins Jim Furyk, Kevin Kisner, Webb Simpson, and Brandt Snedeker in supporting the U.S. bid to reclaim the Cup from Europe.

“I have incredible respect for Gary and all he’s accomplished,” Bradley said, praising Woodland’s major experience and competitive edge.

Woodland, making his Ryder Cup debut as a vice captain or player, expressed enthusiasm: “Keegan’s passion is contagious, and I’m thrilled to help our team.”

The Topeka, Kansas, native, a four-time PGA Tour winner, brings Presidents Cup experience from 2019, where he earned 1.5 points.

Posts on X celebrated Woodland’s selection, with @MattVincenziPGA calling him “one of the best guys in golf.”
