Reporting from Charlotte, Jeff Shain joins PSN’s Greg DePalma and Joel Cook from Pro Golf Weekly for a special Saturday edition of the podcast, as the trio examine the first two days of the 2017 PGA Championship, and how the weather may have changed the outlook during Friday’s second round.
Proving that momentum is a real thing, the two winners from last weekend, Hideki Matsuyama (WGC-Bridgestone Invitational) and Chris Stroud (Barracuda Championship), again find themselves atop the leaderboard after two rounds.
The 25-year old Matsuyama, taking advantage of softer conditions, now shares the lead at 8-under with Kevin Kisner, while the 35-year old Stroud finds himself right behind, tied with Jason Day at 6-under.
With more rain in Saturday’s forecast, things could get very interesting this afternoon on a more receptive Quail track.
