There is nothing funnier than unintended humor, and that’s exactly what happened on Monday at the Web.com Tour qualifier in New York.
Aspiring tour pros Maclain Huge and Charles Wang both shot 65, and qualified for the LECOM Health Challenge.
PGATour.com wrote it up this way.
“Nineteen-year-old conditional Tour member Charles Wang played his way in with a 7-under 65, which was matched by Maclain Huge.”
And then tour pro Kyle Thompson gave us this tweet.
Solid golf from Mr. Huge & Mr. Wang in yesterday's @LECOMHC Monday Qualifier. @WebDotComTour #cantmakethisup ? pic.twitter.com/1uFip7PbVN

Adam Long feels he’d make a great third wheel.
@KyleThompsonPGA @LECOMHC @WebDotComTour I should be paired with them

LPGA Tour caddie David Stone checked in with some snark.
@KyleThompsonPGA @mark_andersonsc @LECOMHC @WebDotComTour only a few can beat a mr huge and mr wang

All we need at the next tour event is for Brendan Steele and Dustin Johnson to finish tied, and the PGA Tour may pick up a sponsor along the way.
