ICYMI: Jack Nicklaus Turned 77!

In case you missed it, Jack Nicklaus, arguably the greatest golfer of all time, turned 77 yesterday (born: January 21, 1940 in Upper Arlington, Ohio).

Jack’s social media team posted this nice little clip to Instagram where the Golden Bear sings along to “Happy Birthday” and then blows out two #7 candles on a delicious-looking birthday cake.

Thanks for all of the very kind birthday wishes—77 is going to be a great year.

Gary Player, who along with Jack and the late Arnold Palmer, made up the original Big Three, also sent along well wishes to his “friend” and “GOAT.”

Fierce competitors often make the best of friends. Happy birthday amigo to the GOAT @jacknicklaus

The USGA posted a nice photo of Jack, posing with the 3 USGA trophies he won (multiple times) over the years – U.S. Amateur (2x), U.S. Open (4x), and U.S. Senior Open (2x).

Eight-time USGA champion @jacknicklaus is celebrating his 77th birthday today.
