Jason Kokrak, ranked No. 128 in the world, fired a bogey-free 8-under 62 at the AT&T Byron Nelson and leads by five-strokes after 36 holes at TPC Four Seasons.
Texas native Jordan Spieth missed the cut by one stroke after a 5-over 75 that included a 9 at the par-5 16th hole. It was the first time Spieth has missed the weekend at the Dallas-based tournament. And coming off a missed-cut at TPC Sawgrass, it marks just the second time in his career that he’s missed consecutive cuts.
Billy Horschel closed with three straight birdies to post a 5-under 65, and is alone in second at 7-under. World No. 1 Dustin Johnson finished with a second consecutive 3-under 67 and headlines a group of six players tied at third.

Quotable
“It’s 36 holes. You’ve got the No. 1 player in the world chasing you, you’ve got x-number of other players that are outstanding players. Same game plan, just give myself birdie opportunities.”
