Lexi Thompson fired a second consecutive 6-under par 65 and extended her lead to three shots after two rounds at the Kingsmill Championship.
Gerina Piller posted a 4-under on day two and holds on to the second spot at 9-under.
Candie Kung (66) and Lydia Ko (67) are tied for fourth at 8-under-par.
How Lexi Did It
Thompson posted a bogey-free round of 65 which included six birdies. The 22-year-old star’s best stretch came at the close of her first-nine, where she dropped birdies on three of the final four holes (6, 8, and 9). Thompson made the turn at 4-under, and then cleanly-cruised to a 2-under back nine.
