The Official World Golf Rankings has not yet approved the LIV Golf Series request to be awarded official world-rankings points, but if it were an official event, it would be the world’s top event this week.

Despite a field of only 48 players, its Strength of Field (SOF) would be 146 while offering 30 first-place points.

The Irish Open has a field of 156 players yet still comes in 20 points below the LIV Golf Portland event. Same with the John Deere Classic, which has a uber-weak field strength of just 56.

This Week’s Events

LIV GOLF-Portland – 146 (30), LIV
Horizon Irish Open – 126 (28), EURO
John Deere Classic – 56 (17), PGAT
The Ascendant – 4 (14), KFT

  1. Nobody cares about Liv Golf. But that is the point. It is not about winning or even competing. The golfers already were paid their signing bonuses. This 54 hole outing is just part of the facade. The Saudi’s do not care about losing $750 million.

The Koepka brothers have to get back to their families and continue to grow the game of golf.
