McIlroy, English Play Closest To Pin on 18 With Near Double Eagles

Rory McIlroy and Harris English were paired together, and wrapping up their third round of the Deutsche Bank Championship, when they decided to play a game of closest to the pin on the par 5 18th.

Or it seemed like that.

English was about 220 yards out, 10 behind Rory, so he went first and hit a perfect shot which landed in front of the green, rolling with perfect speed, but just missing the hole for a double eagle. Then McIlroy shot from about 210 yards, and came even closer, as his ball actually rimmed the cup.

Both made their tap in putts for eagle. For the tournament, English is at 2-under, while Rory is at 9-under.
