The TV ratings for the final round of the PGA Tour Pebble Beach Pro-Am are in and they’re pretty good.
CBS averaged 3.3 million viewers, a figure which represents the event’s highest viewership since 2021, and ranks as the most-watched non-major, non-Players broadcast of the past 12 months.
The broadcast, with Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman in the booth, peaked at nearly 4 million viewers toward the end of the broadcast.
It didn’t hurt the ratings that the tournament was played on one of world’s most iconic venues, offering breathtaking drone views, with one of golf’s most popular names, Rory McIlroy, securing his 27th PGA Tour title. There was also no competition from the NFL.
It was the highest number for a Pebble Beach final round since 2021, during the height of COVID, when 4.19 million tuned in to see if Jordan Spieth could chase down eventual winner Daniel Berger.
Last week’s final round of the Farmers Insurance Open, won by Harris English, averaged 1.4 million.
CBS gets 3.3M viewers for Pebble Beach final round, which would be the highest for the event since 2021 (Berger won, Spieth T3) at 4.19M.
That would rank as the most-watched non-major, non-Players broadcasts for all of last season. pic.twitter.com/Byw4aySg9x
