Tommy Fleetwood, the tournament’s defending champion, turned 27-years old today, and playing partners, Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson, presented the Englishman with a birthday cake following the second round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
As Rory approaches Fleetwood during a post-round interview, he jokes, “I actually baked this before we teed off.”
The marquee trio all played well on Friday (DJ 64, Rory 66, Fleetwood 68), and remain in the hunt after two days of golf in Abu Dhabi.
