Quick Recap: Ryan Palmer carded a 67 on Friday and will take a one-shot lead into the weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Meanwhile, over in Dubai, Li Haotong fired a bogey-free 64 and holds a one-shot lead over Rory McIlroy after 54 holes of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

And finally, due to high winds that whipped through Nassau and the Ocean Club Golf Course, the second round of the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic was wiped out. The LPGA is now hoping to get in at least 54 holes to make it an official event.

TIGER’S OVERLOAD II

While we teased the PGA Tour yesterday for its overblown coverage of Tiger Woods – basically turning into the Tiger Woods Social Media Network – there’s no one in golf who can draw crowds quite like Tiger.

FWIW, the PGA Tour did provide some non-Tiger coverage on their Instagram feed yesterday. Of the 15 pieces of content posted on Friday, Woods made up nine of them (or 60%). Mickelson was in two, while Finau, Day and Rahm were in one a piece.

FROM THE GALLERY: TWO SIDES DEBATE

Kaizen: “I don’t care what or who he is as a person. As a golf fan I want to hear about the players leading, who are playing well, not seeing every post about a has been that made the cut by one. And so this means what? Report on the leaders please!”

GBLiftin: “I’m amazed at how completely ignorant so many people are to Tigers return. Show some respect for one of the greatest of all time people!! If you wanna hear about the leaders check out PGA tours youtube page or app, don’t come to instagram. In the mean time just enjoy the fact that the GOAT is back and HEALTHY finally. Holy fack.”
