The 25-year old Korean, who led after 36 and 54 holes, finished her final day in Green Bay bogey-free with seven birdies. It was Kim’s third mistake-free round of the tournament.

“Just before starting I just setting my goals bogey-free round. So, yeah, I did today, so I’m very happy with another good round,” said Kim.

“I would never thought about it when I was young, about the course record. But after two years ago JTBC I shoot a 27-under; that’s tie record with Annika Sorenstam.

“After that, I wanted to — really wanted course record. Yeah, I’m very happy with dream come true.”

Kim’s four-day total of 257 (-31) broke the LPGA record for the lowest 72-hole score in relation to par by four shots (-27). She also set the all-time record for the most sub-par holes in a single tournament with 32 (the previous record was 30).

It was Kim’s seventh career victory, and first of the 2018 season. She earned $300,000 for the win.

Q: You didn’t have the start to the season that I know you probably would’ve hoped for, but what does this win do for your confidence going into the rest of the year?

SEI YOUNG KIM: Beginning year I didn’t have confidence. I was like kind of uncomfortable what I play the tour. Then I miss the cut couple tournaments. I was like how to play well because I really wanted to make the International Crown.

But I missed that, and then, okay, it’s fine. What I can do now? And then, yeah, another good things came to me. Yeah, I’m very happy with that.
