Sei Young Kim shot a second-straight round of 5-under par 67 to move into the pole position at halftime of the Buick LPGA Shanghai.

Kim, who won the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in record-setting fashion earlier this year, finished her second day in China with one bogey against six birdies, highlighted by four-consecutive gains on Nos. 5-9 en route to a two-day score of 10-under par.

“I felt pretty good today,” said the 25-year-old Korean. “I made four birdies in a row six through nine, and then made the huge big par putts on 10, 11, 12. And then I make several putts back nine, except that I’m very happy today play.”

Day-one leader, Ariya Jutanugarn (69) of Thailand, was one off the pace, alongside American Danielle Kang (68), at 9-under par.

Americans Brittany Lincicome (68) and Brittany Altomare (66), along with England’s Bronte Law (68), were T4 at 7-under par.
