Gary Woodland will attempt to defend his 2018 title against a field that is comprised of 13 of the top-30 ranked players in the world, headlined by three time Phoenix winner Phil Mickelson (No. 29), who will be making his 29th consecutive start in his adopted hometown.
For the opening two rounds, Mickelson and Woodland will be joined by two-time winner Hideki Matsuyama (2016 and 2017). The trio will start out with a 4:15 pm tee time from No. 1.
