Joh finished the day with one bogey against five birdies en route to a two day total of 13-under par.

“I had pretty low expectations for today, to be honest,” said Joh, a two-time Symetra Tour winner.

“I honestly probably would have taken anything under par, but on the first hole right away we made like a 45-footer, and I just started laughing. It was a really good start and I guess I just kept rolling with it.”

For Joh to secure her first career LPGA title, the 31-year old American will have to hold off a chasing pack which includes three of the world’s top-5 players, including No. 3 Ariya Jutanugarn (65) of Thailand, who was T2 at 10-under par alongside Amy Yang (66).

After a second-day 65, German’s Caroline Masson was alone in fourth at 9 under, one clear of world No. 2 Sung Hyun Park of Korea, who carded a second-consecutive 67 to reach 8 under alongside compatriot Su Oh (66).

Aussie Minjee Lee (69) and Korean So Yeon Ryu (66) were T7 at 7-under par.
