Tiger Woods posted to Twitter this morning to tell the world that he’s shooting for a return to the PGA Tour next month at the Safeway Open.
Hoping to play in Napa, Turkey, and Hero in the Bahamas. Can't wait to compete again. https://t.co/cuNUTQv0NW

The Safeway Open is played October 13-16 at Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, CA. It’s the first official event of the 2016-17 PGA Tour season.
Woods also intends to compete in the Turkish Airlines Open, November 3-6, in Antalya, Turkey, and the Tiger Woods Foundation-run Hero World Challenge, December 1-4, at Albany in the Bahamas.
“My rehabilitation is to the point where I’m comfortable making plans, but I still have work to do,” Woods wrote. “Whether I can play depends on my continued progress and recovery. My hope is to have my game ready to go. It could be a fun fall.”
Woods said it has been difficult to miss tournaments but he was “smart about my recovery and didn’t rush it.”
