Titleist, Polo Win With Justin Thomas at CIMB Classic

Sponsors pay PGA Tour players big money to play their equipment, and to place their brand’s logo on hats, shirts, and bags, among other places.

The biggest return on this kind of investment is when one of their players wins a Tour event, and their logos are captured on video and photos, which then get published across the world via web, print, social, and TV.

This week’s winners were clearly the sponsors of Justin Thomas, including Titleist and Polo.

The Money Shot

In this photo by AFP’s Mohd Rasfan, the logos of Titleist, Polo, and Footjoy are prominently shown. This is called the money shot for a sponsor.

Winning Brands

A photo of the champion holding the trophy, while wearing your logo is priceless. In this photo by Stanley Chou of Getty, Titleist and Pro V1, its #1 branded golf ball, are given prime time exposure.
