In the second round of the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges, Justin Thomas was looking at about a 5-foot putt for par on the 5th hole that was impeded by a messy spike mark.
Instead of using his putter, the reigning PGA Champ utilized a wedge to chip over the mess. Thomas hit the little chip perfect, dropping it in for a par.
The first-round leader finished his second day in Korea at 2-over 74, and dropped into a tie for fourth at 7 under.
