Watch: Brooke Henderson’s 3 Key Holes That Won the LPGA L.A. Open

Brooke Henderson produced a 4-under 67 in the final round of the HUGEL AIR-PREMIA L.A. Open to claim a one-shot victory, and her 10th LPGA title.

The 23-year old Canadian finished her final day at historic Wilshire Country Club with two bogeys against six birdies, highlighted by three in a four-hole stretch (Nos. 11, 12, and 14), en route to a four-day total of 16-under par, one ahead of Jessica Korda.

Here’s a look at that key stretch that moved her ahead of 18-, 36-, and 54-hole leader Korda:

Brooke Henderson Birdies No. 11

Brooke hits a beautiful approach on the par-4 hole, and then drops a little left-to-right bender that sneaks in for birdie-3. This moved her to 15 under, and gave her sole possession of first, while knocking wire-to-wire leader Korda from atop the board for the first time with just seven holes to play.

Brooke Henderson Birdies No. 12

Brooke comes up short on her tee shot on the par-3, and is looking at a difficult up and down for par. Korda, who is on the green, has the advantage and is looking to tie things up (at minimum), but then watches (stunned) as Henderson’s ball drops in the hole for birdie.

Brooke Henderson Birdies No. 14

Brooke hits a bomb off the tee and then makes a fantastic chip-shot approach. Her four-foot putt finds the left edge of the cup, and with four holes to play now leads by three shots. Game. Set. Match.
