J.J. Spaun, a PGA Tour rookie from California, records an ace in his debut at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno, Nevada.
In the opening-round of the Barracuda Championship, Spaun holes a seven-iron from 207 yards on the par-three 16th hole. And just like that the 26-year-old San Diego State alum went from +3 to +8, and about 50 spots up the leaderboard.
Spaun finished with a bogey (-1) and two more birdies (+4) to get to +11, tied 10th.
