During the first round of the 2018 CJ Cup, defending champion Justin Thomas hit his second shot on the par-4 first hole (his 10th hole of the day), and the world No. 4 used all of the real estate available en route to a birdie-3.
The gain brought JT back to even par on his round, but he’d go on to add a double bogey on No. 4 and a birdie on the par-5 ninth – his finale – to finish 1-over 73, good for T34.

JT better then Spief? Think so! Crazy sick shot.
Peak Spieth better but JT is now the much more impressive player no question. 8 wins in 2 seasons vs 3 wins for Spieth. Case closed.
