Taiwan’s own Wei-Ling Hsu shot a bogey-free round of 5-under 67 to take the halftime lead at the 2018 Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship.

Hsu finished her second day in front of the home fans at Taoyuan City with five bogeys and 13 pars en route to a two-day score of 9-under par 135.

“It’s very cool. This is the most fans around me. I don’t have that chance before,” said Hsu of the fan support.

“So it’s pretty cool that everybody is cheering for me and they are like, ‘Good luck’ and like ‘Go get it, Wei-Ling,’ something like that. Pretty cool that people are cheering for me and really supporting.”

First-round leader Jodi Ewart Shadoff followed her opening 65 with a 71 on Friday, landing her one shot behind Hsu in solo second at 8-under par.

New Zealander Lydia Ko, the 2015 Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship winner, carded a 6-under 66 to move into solo third at 7 under.

American Nelly Korda (71) and Korean Mirim Lee (67) were T4 at 6-under par.
