Charles Howell III shot a final-round 67 and then edged Patrick Rodgers in a playoff to capture The RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club.

The 39-year old American finished his final day at the Seaside course with one bogey and a double offset by six birdies, including three-straight gains on Nos. 15, 16, and 17 to reach 19-under par and join Rodgers in a playoff.
