Scottie Scheffler signed for a 4-under 67 on Sunday and then beat Patrick Cantlay on the third playoff hole to claim victory at the WM Phoenix Open.
Scheffler’s final day at TPC Scottsdale featured eight birdies, highlighted by four late gains in a five hole stretch (Nos. 13, 14, 15, and 17), to reach 16-under par.
The 25-year-old Texan secured his first career PGA Tour title playing a mixed bag of gear, including TaylorMade, Titleist, and Srixon.
