“Beef” Handily Escapes From Hazards at Erin Hills

PGA and European Tour fan favorite, Andrew “Beef” Johnston, will be competing in this week’s U.S. Open at Erin Hills.

Beef, who is known for his big smile, and namesake partnership with Arby’s, took to Instagram with the help of his playing partner Tyrell Hatton on Tuesday to show some humor as he tried to escape from a couple of the famous hazards at Erin Hills.

All jokes aside, Erin Hills is the great unknown. With wide-open fairways, no water, and short-cut green-side rough, low numbers could be possible. Yet with 145 acres of unmowed fescue, skirting a course that stretches nearly 7,700 yards, all bets are off.
