Last week the European Tour played the Austrian Golf Open at Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg, near Vienna, Austria. The weather for the week was ice cold, particularly for golf, ranging from 35-45 degrees.
Throughout the tournament, from practice rounds through Sunday’s finale, the players were dressed in winter gear.
This week it’s a different story as the Euro Tour tees it up on Spain’s Grand Canary Island at the Gran Canaria Lopesan Open, the first of two consecutive events on the beautiful island located about 90 miles off the coast of Morocco in Africa.
Compared to last week’s bitter cold conditions in Austria, the photos of the Tour players teeing it up on Tuesday at Lopesan Meloneras Golf is like the difference between, well, winter and summer.
