Sung Kang shot a final-round 67 to claim his maiden PGA TOUR title at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

The 31-year old Korean finished his final day at Trinity Forest Golf Club with seven birdies against three bogeys en route to a 23-under par total, two clear of Matt Every (66) and Scott Piercy, who posted a low-round 62.

For the win, the Dallas resident earned $1,422,000 and 500 FedExCup points, while also picking up 40 OWGR points. He will move from No. 138 to 80th in the world rankings.

“Just dream come true. I mean when I just started playing golf I really dream about this, winning PGA TOUR event and finally happened,” said Kang.

“I got in 2011, probably my sixth year and played over a hundred events and finally got one. Feels great.”

Runners-up Every and Piercy earned $695,200 along with 245 FedExCup points and 20 OWGR points. Piercy moves from 86th to 64th in the OWGR, while Every jumps over 200 spots, from No. 472 to 235th.
